For those who are looking for a more in-depth college level course on the wine regions of one country we offer a series of Advanced Regional Courses on France, Italy and the New World.
Have a favorite wine region that you want to learn more about? The Advanced Regional Courses are intermediate level wine classes that present, in detail, all of the key wine regions of a country. This is your opportunity to develop in-depth knowledge and tasting skills while studying the grapes, growing areas and wines of your favorite country. These Advanced Regional Courses are open to all enthusiast and professionals.
There's lots more to learning about wine from a specific growing place than tasting a few bottles of wine! This is where you begin to learn some of those things that are often only hinted at in most books and magazines. Learn terroir, how to use vintage data, climate analysis, and much more.
The cost for registration, course materials and wine is $1800 for each Advanced Regional Course. Each Advanced Regional Course is offered twice a year in an 11-week format and twice a year as a 1-week-intensive-study course.
These courses and tastings are a must for the serious student of wine, whether you are an informed enthusiast or a professional. There are no prerequisites for any of the Advanced Regional Courses but we suggest taking the following seminar and classes before enrolling in any advanced course:Guild Certification Seminar and Components I (Smell), II (Taste) and III (Vision).
All wines tasted in these courses count towards either a Senior/Executive or Master level certification in the Guild.
