Becoming a Guild Member

 

Membership in the International Wine Guild is open to all those who have an interest in wine. There are currently two categories of membership:

• Friend of the Guild (associate member)
• Professional Member (professionals and enthusiasts)

Friend of the Guild

Would you like to become a member of the Guild and receive discounts on classes for the public, guild merchandise and be eligible for the Guild benefits program? If you don't think you are ready to complete our certification seminar but would still like to help support the Guild wine school and be part of our growing organization then become a Friend of the Guild.

The International Wine Guild was established in 1997 to provide technical and professional wine education for people working in all areas of the wine and hospitality industries as well as for the general public.

The International Wine Guild is one of the very few accredited vocational schools in the United States that only teaches wine and related classes, seminars and college-level courses. Our national headquarters and classrooms are located on the campus of The Metropolitan State College of Denver, in the heart of downtown Denver, Colorado. It is a campus of approximately 37,000 students.

This $100 annual membership fee will allow you to take advantages of all of the benefits of Guild membership. You will receive a certificate of membership, bronze guild pin, membership card and our bi-weekly newsletter. If you decide to become a full member than the $100 fee will count towards the registration and fees for either the Guild Certification Seminar, Advanced Wine Course, or the Intensive Study Advanced Wine Course.

Full Professional Membership

Membership is open to professionals and enthusiasts. You do not have to be in the trade to become a full professional member of the Guild. There are about 1,000 full members in all 50 states and other countries. To become a Guild member you must successfully complete either the Guild Certification Seminar, Advanced Wine Course, or the Intensive Study Advanced Wine Course.

Whether you are an enthusiast with a passion for wine, work in a restaurant, hotel, wine shop, liquor store, are a wholesaler or importer, there are basic and advanced classes and diploma programs designed specifically for you.

In addition all Guild members receive discounts of classes for the public and for Guild merchandise. There is also a complete benefits program, for all guild members.
