Certified Wine Instructor

 

The Wine Instructor diploma is the basic building block of the entire Guild wine educator program through the wine school. The goal is to develop individuals who have the desire, teaching capability, presentation skills, and appropriate attitude to successfully teach others about wine.

Complete a twelve-day (96 hour) intensive study program to complete the CWI Diploma program. You will complete the Intensive Study Advanced Wine Course as well as the Intensive Study Advanced Wine and Food Pairing Course.

• Course includes more than 900 pages of handout material, 120 wines and a wine dinner.

This course is designed to develop the skills to teach a college or trade school level introductory class on wine. This course was designed by MWE's as well as Guild educators with Master's Degrees in Education. The cost is $3,450 including membership in the Guild, if you are not currently a Guild member.

The Guild has members who are experts at course development, test writing, and all aspects of teaching.

Once you have completed the Certified Wine Educator course you can study to become a Senior Wine Educator and then the Master Wine Educator. You must register for both the Advanced Wine and Advanced Wine and Food Pairing Courses as well as the Professional Wine Instructor Diploma short-course.

Certified Wine Instructor Diploma Short Course ($500)
If you have completed both the Advanced Wine Course and the Advanced Wine and Food Pairing Course you can sign up for the following Certified Wine Instructor Diploma that is completed in 3 sessions! You can take this short-course concurrently with the other courses.

Register - Certified Wine Instructor Diploma: 9:00AM - 5:00PM, October 24th, 2009 (plus two private sessions to present the classes you have learned).

Certified Senior Wine Instructor Diploma Short Course ($600)
If you have completed the CWI program and are currently teaching public classes for the Guild, you can sign up for the Certified Senior Wine Instructor Diploma to be certified to teach professional wine courses! You can take this short-course concurrently with the other courses.
