Guild Member Spotlight On: Delizios Wine & Tapas Bar

 

Impassioned by Colorado's Palisade wine region, Bob Mickus began to nurture his growing interest in wines by attending wine festivals and meeting with local winemakers.

After taking wine classes at the International Wine Guild, Bob decided to leave behind a successful career in the IT industry, and put his wine knowledge to good use by opening an upscale wine and tapas bar in downtown Littleton, Colorado.

His park-view restaurant, Delizios (which means “delight”), has an extensive list of wines, many of which are organic. Delizios features a different winery each month, and patrons can order flights of these special wines in addition to the fifteen wines that are offered by the glass on a regular basis.

Bob puts his expert knowledge to good use by pairing his wines with the gourmet tapas, flatbread, and salads that Delizios serves. As with many other graduates of the International Wine Guild, Bob feels like he's finally living his dream by combining his passion with his livelihood.
