The International Wine Markets and Management course is the second of our wine business courses. This is a more detailed business course than the Wine Business course and focuses on international issues in the wine industry as well as financial issues and wine markets. This course is designed to cover a wide range of timely topics in the wine industry.

This is a required course for the Level III Certification. If you would like to take a detailed, technical course on International Wine Markets and Management you can take this course without being a Level III student. However, we strongly recommend that you first take the Guild Certification Seminar before attempting any Level III course.

You may be enrolled in our Level II Certification and concurrently take Level III courses.

This course covers the following topics:

• Wine Economics
• The World Wine Economy
• Financial Planning For The Wine Industry
• Financial Analysis For The Wine Industry
• International Wine Markets
• Analyzing Wine Markets At Different Levels
• Wine Marketing
• A Wine Business Marketing Plan
• A Wine Business Advertising Program
• You will receive more than 400 pages of material, specifically designed for this course and taste about 20 wines

This course is available in two formats:

• As a 12-week course, meeting once a week
• As a 1-week intensive study course, meeting daily

There is no difference in course content and instruction between the 12-week and 1-week courses. The 12-week course meets from 6:00PM to 10:00PM once a week for a total of 44 contact hours. Course tuition and fees are $1800.

Cost of the course includes registration fees, handouts, wine, period wine dinner and instruction. The 1-week intensive study course meets from 8:00AM to 5:30PM daily, Monday through Friday, for a total of 44 contact hours. Course tuition and fees are $1975.

Cost of the course includes registration fees, handouts, wine, lunch each day and instruction.

Schedule of 12-Week International Markets and Management Course

Schedule of 1 Week Intensive Study Wine Markets and Management Course

If for any reason a class is canceled we will phone or e-mail you 48 hours prior to the start of the class. If a class is canceled at the last minute due to bad weather (this is very rare) we will reschedule the class. However, if a class is held and you decide not to attend because you believe the weather is bad than it will be treated as a no-show. It is highly recommended that you register early, your credit card will not be charged until seven days in advance of the course. We must have a minimum students registered in order to form a course. If you are traveling from out of town to attend, please do not make arrangements until two weeks in advance of the course.
