An appellation is the term used to describe a wine growing or wine producing area. Napa Valley is an appellation as is Sauternes in the Bordeaux region of France. Each table includes a listing of all major wine producing areas in a country (by quality classification or area classification), wines produced and key grapes used to produce the wine (where this is appropriate). Each set of data also comes with a listing of key wine label terms at no additional charge.

This data is update twice each year. These wine data tables provide information about growing areas, wines made and grapes allowed in each region and country. Data is currently available for: France, Italy, Germany, Spain and Portugal, Greece, the United States, Australia and New Zealand, South America (Argentina, Brazil, Chile), and South Africa. This data is a must for the serious wine student at any level.
